Check in time is 4pm. It is better to arrive in the daylight as cabin can be tricky to find

You will find the lock box on the side door. The code will be given before your stay

Check the breakers in the laundry room to make sure water pump and water heater are on

Nose around and make yourself at home!

If there is any food left in the refrigerator or pantry, you are welcome to it, just be sure to check the expiration date 

Some dish or bath towels may be in the dryer from the previous stay

Check the hot tub. Adjust temperature to your preference (102-104 F) Check the chemicals and adjust as necessary. (Brown chest on back porch)

If anything is broken or dirty, please let us know! Call if important or leave a note by the phone.

If you need to make a call using the house line, dial 1 before (ex. 1-719-229-9353)

We have over 200 movies. You can find them under the TV and in crates in the loft.

Run dishwasher

Make sure all windows and doors are closed. Lock up when you leave

Do not leave trash in cabin or garage. Waste Management dumpster is on CR 290. Use the Orange key on  keyboard by front door

Turn down the hot tub (99 F)

Make sure TV and sound bar are turned off

Bring hummingbird feeders in and rinse

Put the key back into the lockbox and rotate numbers off of code 

Stop and breathe! 

Soak in the hot tub in the evening

Play games by the firelight

Collect wildflowers

Bet on the hummingbird battles on the front porch

Take in a scenic drive -drive up to Tin Cup and feed the chippies

Lay out in the front yard on a blanket and look at the stars 

Take a walk by the creek, look for trout, skip some stones

Go white water rafting with Noah's Ark

Pick up some flies & a fishing license at Ark Anglers

Spend as much time outdoors as possible

Enjoy the local artists and chefs in Buenie & Salida

TRASH

• You are near wildlife. No trash should be left outside. 
  If you must, leave in the garage and LOCK it. Beware of da bears!

• The orange dumpster key is on the key ring by the front door

Bring in the humming bird feeders at night if they have sugarwater in them

Absolutely NO FIRES except in the fireplace. This cabin is in the highest rated spot in Colorado for fire danger. Only you can prevent fires! 

Please water the grass and flowers in the front

Replace/restock items you use with comparable or better products (ex. flour, sugar, olive oil, tequila, and wine)

WATER

• Waste is on septic-please only flush toilet paper​ in small quantities

Lights

• Living room - behind outhouse door​

• Outdoor flood lights - by kitchen light switch and master bedroom phone

Hot Tub

• Turn on power-breaker switch ​

• Fill with hose in back

• Suntan lotion and bug spray causes foam and yucky scum. Please rinse off before hopping in 

Thermostat - there is NO air conditioning 

• Summer - If it is chilly feel free to use the electric heat. There are three
  thermostats; behind the outhouse door in the living room, by the light
  switch in the master bedroom and in the downstairs bathroom.​ If it's hot, open the windows at night, shut them in the morning to keep heat out

• Winter - The gas furnace is on. The digital thermostat is on the wall next
  to the outhouse door. Slide the bar on the bottom from off to heat. Push
  the RUN PROGRAM button. It will take over from there.

Gas Grill

• Turn the propane on at the tank

•  Lift the grill lid

•  Light a gas match lighter at the appropriate end of the grill and turn the
  grill knob to high

• When it lights, turn on the other knobs and close the grill lid.

•  Be sure to turn off the grill knobs AND the propane tank.

• The propane tank can be refilled at Walmart or any hardware store.​

Television

• There is a little TV/DVD combo in the green box by the back door for use
  when you’re in the hot tub and bored... DVDs are in the armoire in the
  living room

• The TV in the master bedroom is not connected to anything

•  The TV in the living room is connected to a DVD player​

WIFI​

• The login info is on the fridge

Lawn Mower

• Check the gas level. The plastic gas can is in the garage.

• Push the red primer button on the side of the motor 3 times

•  Hold the blade control bar down against the handle. Pull the recoil starter​
